I used chopped kiwi, walnuts and coconut flakes as a topping for my zucchini porridge. You can also combine your Zoats with your favorite berries, fruits and nuts as you wish. Almonds, banana and a dollop of maple syrup also go really well with the breakfast bowl.

  • ▢ 150 g zucchini
  • ▢ 1 banana
  • ▢ 4 tbsp walnuts
  • ▢ 2 kiwis
  • ▢ 140 g tender oat flakes
  • ▢ 600 ml milk e.g. Almond milk
  • ▢ 1 teaspoon ground vanilla
  • ▢ 1-2 tbsp maple syrup
  • ▢ 2 tbsp coconut flakes
  • ▢ Cinnamon


  • Grate the zucchini, mash the banana with a fork. Roughly chop the walnuts. Remove the kiwis from the skin and cut into slices.
  • Put the oat flakes together with the milk, the zucchini grated, the banana and the ground vanilla in a large saucepan and bring to the boil. Let soak for 5 minutes over low heat. Stir occasionally and add a little more milk if necessary. Fold in the maple syrup and season the zoats with cinnamon.
  • Serve the zucchini porridge with kiwis, walnuts, and coconut flakes.


You can leave out the banana if you want. The porridge is then a little less sweet.
